What does learning look like at P9?

Learning at P9 is an interactive and engaging experience designed to meet your child exactly where they are. We use PencilSpace, a collaborative online platform that allows us to think and work together in real time—whether that means solving problems side by side, annotating texts, or brainstorming ideas. Each session begins with a personal check-in because I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of meaningful learning. From there, the structure depends entirely on your child’s needs. While I can’t predict exactly what each lesson will look like, I can promise that the work will happen right at the point of challenge—where your child is ready to stretch, think deeply, and engage in supported, productive struggle. My goal is to create a space where learning feels both challenging and achievable, fostering confidence, curiosity, and independence along the way.

  • I specialize in a personalized, research-backed approach that goes beyond just homework help. I focus on building long-term learning strategies, confidence, and independence through structured, engaging sessions tailored to each child’s needs.

  • Your child will need a wifi enabled device with a camera and microphone. Either a laptop or tablet will work.

    We meet on PencilSpace, a interactive platform designed for collaborative learning.

  • This depends on your child’s needs. Most students benefit from 1-2 sessions per week, with each session lasting between 30-45 minutes. We can discuss a plan that works best for your child’s goals and schedule.

  • This is a casual, no-pressure conversation where we’ll discuss your child’s learning needs, goals, and whether my tutoring approach is a good fit. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions before committing.

  • This one-on-one session helps me understand how your child thinks and learns in their area of need. I assess strengths, challenges, and learning patterns to identify their current levels of performance and recommend their next steps in learning. The assessments used will be based on your child’s age and identify goal areas.

    It includes a 45-minute session with the student, a written report and a follow up meeting to discuss the most important findings and possible next steps for your child. The fee is $300.

  • I offer quarterly check-ins where we discuss progress, challenges, and ways to support your child at home. You will also have access to your child’s virtual learning space where you can see the work we’ve doing together. And, of course, you’re welcome to reach out with questions anytime!

  • My standard fee is €90 per hour. Most children receive between 30 - 60 minutes of tutoring per week.
